The Thailand International Trombone Festival returns to Bangkok for its 6th edition, hosted at the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music. Join an international community of trombonists for concerts, masterclasses, and collaboration in an inspiring setting.


International Competition
For the first time, TITF will host its own International Trombone Competition, welcoming participants from around the world. Rounds 1 and 2 will take place on August 4–5, with the final during the festival on August 7. A total prize fund of 160,000 THB, plus additional non-monetary awards.
Grand Finale Concert
The festival concludes with a spectacular Grand Finale Concert, featuring all guest artists in a dynamic and entertaining program. A celebration of collaboration, virtuosity, and musical energy.


Clinics
Guest artists will lead interactive clinics covering a wide range of topics, including technique, audition preparation, performance mindset, and more.Participants are encouraged to ask questions and actively engage in the sessions.
Ensemble participation
Playing together is at the heart of the festival. Participants will have the opportunity to join trombone ensembles of different sizes and levels, from large festival choirs to smaller groups. Pre-formed ensembles and university groups are also welcome to participate.


Open masterclasses, speed lessons, warming-ups
Throughout the festival, there will be many opportunities to learn and improve. Guest artists will offer open masterclasses, short individual lessons, and daily warm-up sessions.
Artists Recital
Our guest artists present a wide range of recital programs, performing as soloists and in various chamber music formations. From solo works to duos, trios, quartets, and more, these concerts highlight the versatility of the trombone.


Trombone section side by side
Experience what it’s like to play in a professional trombone section. Participants can join guest artists in a side-by-side session, working on orchestral repertoire and ensemble playing.
